Now, lets do it again for MAY! Prize will be a FiF Element Fitness Customized Music CD! Equipped with the HOTTEST workout songs to get your fitness party started anytime & anyplace!!
Here’s How it Works:
- Pick up our Referral Cards from the front desk at The Festival Dance Center before or after class & hand them out to people you’d like to refer to our classes.
- You have until May 30th to refer as many people as you can to ANY of our classes. They do not all have to come at 1 time or to 1 class.
- Be sure to include your name on all cards, for this is what we will use to do our tally. The person MUST bring that card with them to class, w/their name on it as well! No exceptions.
- You can NOT refer the same person more than once.
The winner will be notified & announced on Saturday, June 4th in our Zumba/Zumba Toning class at 10:45am, and presented their prize!! |

“Do something you love, and it’ll never feel like exercise. It is just having fun!” encourages Tamika Grace, our Fit-n-Fly Girl for the month of May.
After a long day of work, the last thing Tamika wants to do is drive 40 miles to get to the Festival Dance Center in Winston-Salem to take one of FiF Element Fitness’ classes. But she does it anyway because, “I have found a class and an instructor that motivates me to move. [I don’t mind driving the distance] because I believe in supporting something I am passionate about, plus, Cortney makes the class so exciting and fun! She is so genuine and kind-hearted, and you don’t find many people like Cortney now-a-days! I mean, what instructor hugs you after you’ve sweated like a Coke® bottle on a summer day? And the participants in the class are just so loving … it feels like a family!”
In addition to taking care of her “outer “body, Tamika recently found out that she has high blood pressure, but is determined not to depend on medication to treat it. “I have a goal to lose 20 percent of my body weight and the classes have more than increased my stamina, and I’m on my way to a thinner ‘me’!”
Well, Miss Tamika, not only will you reach your goal, but between your “Go Get ‘Em” attitude, your drive and encouragement from your FiF Element Fitness family, we will make sure you reach that goal!

- Favorite workout: I LOVE the Masala Bhangra Workout®! I love the Indian culture, colors and the people, and I only choose threading for my eyebrows. When Cortney announces a new routine is coming, the “inner child” comes out in me! I also love ZUMBA®! That class makes me feel free!
- What encouragement can you give others, who, like you, are trying to be fit? Do something you love and it will never feel like exercise. It is just having fun!

No-Entry Policy / Saturday Morning Class Transition
For your safety and others, please read the following and thank you for your cooperation in advance:
- No admittance into classes AFTER 20 minutes. This is for your safety. It is important that you warm-up/stretch properly before each workout.
- Saturday Mornings: For those taking ZUMBA on Saturday mornings, please kindly wait in the lobby, hallway or Community Area near the water fountain for the previous class (Masala Bhangra) to end. Please do not enter into the studio until the previous class has ended and the door has been opened. This will allow for an easier transition, and keep distractions to a minimum.
- Children: Children are allowed to take the class, however, the class is intended for adults. Please make sure the child will be able to endure an hour long workout beforehand. If there’s room, they may sit on the side quietly. Children must be tended to at all times. Please do not allow your children to run around during the class or anywhere in the facility. Cost for children to take the class is $5.

Learn Beyoncè’s “Move Your Body” Routine to fight Childhood Obesity w/Cortney!
In an effort to fight childhood obesity, Cortney Wilson will be teaching Beyoncè’s “Move Your Body” routine on Wednesday, May 18th in ZUMBA Fitness at 6:30pm! It will be incorporated into our regular Zumba classes for all of May!
This special routine comes as part of the “Lets Move” campaign, an effort initiated by First Lady Michelle Obama to help raise a healthier generation of kids; however, I just like the idea of getting kids and adults moving, PLUS this version is a spin off of the hit song “Get Me Bodied” and has been edited to be KID-FRIENDLY! So feel free to bring your kids to class to learn the routine, but they must be tended to throughout the class, and able to keep up during the routine/class! Cost for all kids is $5.
